DK Hernando (PWB India 2020) is an animator of objects from Dallas, Texas. DK's love of movement and dancing led to a fascination for discovering new patterns and sequences. His search brought him to discover Juggling in 2012 and eventually the Flow Arts community where he flourished many friendships and grew to be a leader. One of his leadership roles is as an organizer for Flowstorm Gathering and DK has spend many years teaching and performing at reputable events such as Texas Flow Fest, Southern Lights Flow Retreat, Art Outside, Wakarusa, Sonic Bloom, Quasar, and Burning Man to name a few.

Ben Kirsch (PWB Kenya 2019, 2020) is a former Ringling Brothers clown and international performing circus artist. He currently travels the globe teaching juggling, acrobatics, and physical comedy to those who wish to express themselves and discover just how unique they can be. Ben was raised in Virginia and now resides in Houston, Texas.

Juniper Anderson (Nicaragua 2020) is a staff spinner and juggler who has been working with social circus programs for the last 5 years, starting her work in San Francisco and then taking it abroad throughout Central America. Her main projects are in Nicaragua but she has also worked with refugees in Copenhagen. She is dedicated to spreading the joy of life through circus arts and teaching children.

Enrico Vinholi, SolRiso, was born to Brazilian parents in the United States and spent much of his youth traveling between the United States and Brazil.

After receiving his degree in Psychology, Enrico devoted himself to studying movement art therapy and developing efficacy enhancing curricula for children and adults alike.

In his adult life Enrico has expanded his performance career internationally and now uses his networking connections to help connect like minded individuals to serve underprivileged communities through a genuine appreciation of object manipulation.

 

Enzo Vinholi, a Senior at the University of Saint Thomas, Co-Founded Sponsor A Staff with his older brother Enrico and currently acts as Chief Operating Officer.

Named one of Minneapolis/Saint Paul Business Journal’s "Top Ten Young Innovators of the Twin Cities", Enzo is a young entrepreneur with a passion for innovation. The tech-savvy business student and entrepreneur has founded and holds executive positions in three startup companies that together operate in five countries and employ three part-time employees. 

He is also a musician and plays bass for the up-and-coming chamber pop group known as Good Luck Finding Iris whose newest EP titled Patience, was named one of the best local albums of winter 2018 (among albums produced by notable artists such as Prince and Atmosphere) by The Current, Minnesota. The band has been streamed over three-million times across several platforms.

Past Ambassadors

Tyler Spades (PWB Kenya 2018) is a fire performer from Portland, Oregon. He was first entranced with fire in 2007 when he experienced it at the Oregon Country Fair. Immediately he researched ways to build his own fire toys and began teaching himself in his spare time. After three years of keeping it to himself, Spades decided to start taking the art seriously and began doing public performances and teaching workshops around Oregon. At first he organized groups around Eugene and Portland, but soon realized he could reach many more people by traveling to various festivals first around the west coast and then beyond. Spades continues to travel and share his passion for flow arts whenever possible.

-Tyler has toured with Performers without borders before and is one of the 2018 Kenya tour trip leaders

-Toured with Spark Circus 2013 teaching workshops and performing for Burmese refugee children on Thai/Burma border

-Instructor and performer at Fire DrumsPacific Fire GatheringKinetic FireMadskillz Vancouver, and Portland Juggling Festival

-Taught workshops and performed throughout Costa Rica, Thailand, USA, and Canada

Ariana Madappa (PWB 2018) is a international performer who specializes in fire performance and dance. She has a passion for traveling and tries to inspire as many people as she can along the way. Children are her favorite audience to teach and perform for because of the amount of joy and excitement that it brings them.

Being of Indian dissent, Ariana wants to bring her love of Circus arts to India. She is planning on starting a summer camp in Bangalore in the summer of 2018 after gaining experience in the 2018 Performers without Borders Tour.
